Reading University project:
OUP are developing a suite of books for KS3 (11–14 year-olds) inspiring pupils to succeed in science. The brief was to develop three covers for the series, one for each year level. The series design aimed to be strong, coherent and distinct for marketing purposes (when viewed on Amazon, for example) but each year level within the series should also be clearly identifiable.
Activate motivates pupils of every ability on their journey through Key Stage 3 to KS4 success.
The concept was using microscopic images, (electron micrographs) representing the amount of depth and focus there is within the Activate brand. Each image shows a form of reaction or cells to do with biology, chemistry and physics, representing all the different sciences that Activate covers.
