Matchday Live is the Premier League’s flagship programme, providing a fully-wrapped studio show with debate, analysis and reaction from every Premier League matchday. See every goal, watch every incident and enjoy in-depth analysis from an expert team. Regular pundits will include some of the most successful and respected players from Premier League history, with the likes of Michael Owen, Alan Shearer, Yaya Toure and Paul Scholes bringing their insight and knowledge to viewers around the world.

The Brief:
The brief was to create an updated title sequence with the new competition branding in mind for the show showcasing the Premier League teams and star players. This title sequence would also need to serve as a cut down version for bumpers

The concept:
The idea was to craft a montage sequence using footage that showcases the highlights and finest moments of Premier League teams. This would be complemented by subtle graphical enhancements, utilizing fresh competition gradients and color palettes consistently. This approach aimed to make MDL easily identifiable by associating a distinct color scheme with the show. Additionally, the concluding segment of the sequence would act as bumpers, underscoring the premium quality of the show. This would be achieved by featuring close-up, detailed 3D renderings of the prestigious Premier League trophy, showcasing its magnificence from various angles.
